Back to News & Events

We are delighted to be exhibiting at this year's InnoTrans. The world's leading fair for transport technology, the event is expected to receive over 150,000 visitors from countries across the globe during its four-day exhibition at Messe Berlin.

With a number of exciting new collections and capabilities to show, our stand is set to feature Camira Print, our revolutionary digital print technology, alongside New Heritage, a reimagined collection of designs taken from our archive, as well as Rapido, a high-performance faux leather.

Camira Print: A digital print technology, now available for rail

Removing many of the design constraints associated with traditional woven textiles, Camira Print fabrics can be created without restrictions on pattern repeats, scale, or colour, as well as significantly reducing lead times and minimum order quantities. With a variety of design options, customers also have the flexibility to choose from a range of readymade prints in standard colours, opt for custom colours, or create something entirely new - working with Camira’s in-house design studio to develop a totally bespoke creation.

New Heritage: Timeless designs in contemporary colours

Introduced earlier this year to coincide with our 200-year anniversary in transport textiles, New Heritage is an exclusive collection of 20 designs originally produced by Holdsworth, a company founded in 1822 and acquired by Camira in 2007. Featuring patterns from the 1930s through to the 1980s, the archive edit includes well-known ranges, such as the distinctive Waves & Swirls first released in 1982, alongside lesser-known gems like the geometric Grid, originally launched in 1938. Selected and recoloured in shades including cyan, lime and burgundy, the collection has been carefully developed to complement modern rail interiors, while paying homage to our rich heritage.

A keenly anticipated addition to our product portfolio, Rapido has been engineered to meet stringent technical and safety standards, achieving the highest European flammability standard, EN 45545 (R21) – HL3, and designed to reflect the natural grain and finish of real leather.

A made-to-order product, Rapido can be produced in any colourway for a truly bespoke upholstery option. With a bleach cleanable surface, the vinyl can be cleaned rapidly and effectively, ensuring it meets the enhanced hygiene levels which are of paramount importance for many rail operators following the Coronavirus pandemic. Rapido has also been developed for optimal ease of upholstery, certified to ISO 7854 400,000 cycles, the knitted cotton backing and pliable composition provide exceptional flexibility.
