Purpose of the role
To develop and implement our short- and long-term sales strategies in the Mass passenger Transportation market sales channel (transit authorities, operators, design houses, seating manufacturers, refurbishment companies & OEMs).
The day to day
· To adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements
· Develop sales plans for strategic markets; Small Bus, Transit/City Bus, Motor Coach and Rail.
· Identify, explore and quantify new business opportunities or other potential market segments where Camira have either limited or no market share.
· Work closely with the Regional Business Manager to ensure alignment with the overall strategy for Transport Business Unit.
· Deliver Sales, Gross Selling Margin (GSM) and Net Selling Margin (NSM) budget figures on an annual basis for the region.
· Work with the sales team for the North American market and work in close collaboration with the Camira Fabrics team in Europe.
· Negotiate contracts and price-increases with existing customers, maximising both margins and volumes.
· Promote products to public and private transport operators, design houses as well as seat manufacturers, rail companies and rail carriage manufacturers.
· Ensure our CRM has up to date information regarding project pipelines to allow for accurate forecasting in the short to medium term, but also to provide key actions for project stakeholders.
· Liaise with Customer Services on fulfilment of orders.
· Participate in trade shows and mini exhibitions during the calendar year. Work in close collaboration with Sales team and our corporate marketing team.
· Work with innovation team to bring new products to market.
Other considerations
- Experience from training/managing independent sales reps.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Experience using social media as a sales tool is an advantage.
