Camira Fabrics Limited handle over 50 tonnes of packaging per year and is committed to ensuring these
materials are managed responsibly and in compliance with all relevant legislation, including but not limited to:


  • The Packaging (Essential Requirements) Regulations 2015
  • The Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations 2007
  • The Plastic Packaging Tax (Descriptions of Products) Regulations 2021
  • The Waste (England & Wales) Regulations 2011
  • European Union (Packaging) Regulations 2014

Camira Fabrics Limited meet waste recycling and recovery responsibilities on all packaging materials imported, handled, filled, converted, and exported.

Tertiary packaging including wooden pallets, warp beams, yarn cones and plastic tri-wall boxes are reused internally until end of life, at which point they are recycled by approved waste contractors within the UK. Raw material packaging is returned to suppliers for reuse wherever possible and miscellaneous secondary packaging such as envelopes, labels and tape are purchased from approved UK suppliers.
