Purpose of the role
The role of Operations Manager is to lead and manage and perform all aspects of our operational functions, including Warehouse Management, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and relationship management with our external Sample Provider. You will ensure seamless operational execution, enhancing efficiency, and delivering exceptional service levels across all areas of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and warehouse best practices.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce errors, and increase accuracy.
- Manage warehouse staffing, performance, and training.
Supply Chain Management
- Lead end-to-end supply chain activities including procurement, logistics, inventory planning, and supplier management.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and replenishment.
External Sample Provider
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and the 3rd party sample provider.
- Monitor service levels, turnaround times, and quality standards of sample production and delivery.
- Establish clear performance expectations and conduct regular review meetings.
- Manage contracts, performance metrics, and issue resolution with the external provider.
Analysis and Reporting
- Responsible for inventory turns
- Coordinate with marketing new product introductions initial stocking and sampling requirements
- Develop key metrics to ensure world class delivery performance to our customers
- Identify ways / opportunities to reduce freight spend and increase profitability.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Experience in operations management with cross-functional responsibility.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and people management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in ERP systems, warehouse management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with or managing 3rd party vendors or service providers.
