Purpose of the role
An Inspection Operative at Camira plays a crucial role in maintaining product quality and upholding the company’s reputation for excellence. Your meticulous work ensures that meet the highest standards of quality and durability.

 

The day to day

·         To adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements

·         Ensure non-conforming fabric is identified, contained, and accurately recorded to prevent customer impact.

·         Manage outbound quality verification and communicate effectively with Customer Services regarding known or recurring issues.

·         Respond to Quality Helpdesk queries promptly, recording findings and maintaining inspection records.

·         Support Customer Liaison and Sales teams, including participation in customer visits when required.

·         Assist in New Product Introduction (NPI) by assessing new fabrics and escalating issues appropriately.

·         Oversee and record stock movements related to quality processes, ensuring accuracy in both physical and system data.

·         Inspect and document internal and external manufacturing rejections and first-pass quality test (FPQT) failures.

·         Communicate results of inbound and in-process quality assessments to relevant departments.

·         Conduct supplier visits, when needed, to verify product compliance and tagging procedures.

·         Contribute to resolving Customer Concerns (CCR) and ensure effective, timely close-out of quality issues.

 

·         Maintain high housekeeping standards and a strong focus on continuous quality improvement.

·         Support quality initiatives and problem-solving projects (e.g., A3 improvement plans).

·         Demonstrate a proactive, solution-focused mindset and promote teamwork across departments.
