One Danone

Located in Frankfurt, the brand new Danone headquarters were created to bring together three brands, Milupa, Waters, Nutricia - all with separate locations - into one space. Aptly named One Danone, this new working environment includes meeting areas, retreat spaces, lounges and collaboration areas, as well as encompassing larger rooms to facilitate conferences, workshops and customer meetings.

A harmonious space

Designed by multi-award winning Berlin architects, de Winder, the team sought to create a space which reflected the individual Danone entities, whilst also bringing them together into one harmonious interior across four floors. Diana Salow of de Winder explains, “Colour was so important in this project, and not just on an aesthetic level. In the design, the challenge was to bring together the identity of the different brands in the colour concept, so that they are distinguishable, but also ensuring they complement one another to allow the colours to be combined in community zones.”

Selecting a pastel interior scheme, the light, fresh colours of the Danone brand were chosen – as well as surfaces with a natural look and polycarbonate cover, reflective of the PET bottles used by the organisation – which combine to create a beautifully soothing interior. From the loose furniture and upholstery materials to the floor finishes and wall fabrics, the space has been perfectly designed to create a workplace that feels both cohesive and calming.

Synergy and Rivet

Featuring a range of seating areas and furniture pieces – from carpentry benches and acoustic walls to lounge chairs and stools – Camira textiles, Synergy and Rivet, are included throughout the space. Diana explains, “The fabrics perfectly matched our colour scheme, and we loved that Rivet was woven from recycled PET bottles and offers the durability needed for office chairs, whilst the soft touch of Synergy harmonised with the coloured frames of the seats and is incredibly comfortable. Together, the two ranges work beautifully together and with the other finishing materials used in the space, such as the wood and PET surfaces.”
