200 Years of Transport Textiles: An Interview with Creactive Design

As we celebrate our 200-year anniversary in transport textiles, we're taking a look at what the future holds for the industry, and Camira.

In 2021, we collaborated with design company Creactive Design Transport and manufacturer Vivarail on the COP26 green train. A pioneering project which showcased the flexibility of pure battery and battery hybrid vehicles by running across Scotland's iconic Forth Bridge, the zero-emission train featured a bespoke woollen moquette by Camira, which perfectly complemented its environmental credentials. A symbol of the future of transport, the COP26 train illustrated the critical need for greener transportation, designed with sustainability at its core.

Featuring an interview with Neil Bates, Managing Director at Creactive Design Transport, Sarah Bates, Senior Designer at Creactive Design Transport, and Ian Burn, Director of Marketing and Sustainability at Camira, this short film provides a powerful look at the cleaner future we are all working towards.
