Purpose of the Role

To play a key role in the Management accounts team helping the leadership and stakeholders fully understand the gross margin drivers and effectively feeding this information back to drive better performance. The role is predominantly focused on Camira’s UK manufacturing facilities, working alongside the operations team as a business partner.

 

The Day to Day

  • To adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements
  • Manage a team of two management accountants looking after all UK manufacturing facilities.
  • Responsible for the management accounts for several manufacturing business units.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage budgets.
  • Provide guidance on budgetary constraints and ensure compliance with financial policies.
  • Forecasting: Create financial forecasts and models to predict future costs and expenses.
  • Assist in long-term planning and strategy development.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.
  • Highlight key performance indicators and areas of concern.
  • Creating monthly budget/forecast variance analysis for the wider business to ensure departments, including finance, procurement, and operations, to ensure cohesive cost management across the
    organization.
  • Producing reliable and insightful analysis surrounding margin costs.
  • Work with other members of finance and with department heads to understand spend and variances to budget/forecast.
  • Finance business partner with supply chain, planning, operations, customer services and sales to improve inventory turnover.
  • Participate in trade shows and mini exhibitions during the calendar year. Work in close collaboration with Sales team and our corporate marketing team.
  • Work with innovation team to bring new products to market.
  • Continuously monitor and control stock levels across all departments to ensure inventory levels are aligned with business requirements.
  • Work alongside department heads to develop and implement strategies to right-size stock for the business
  • Prepare monthly/weekly inventory report and recommendations for improvements.
  • Assisting in the annual audit process, providing information to the Company's auditors.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Development of the Finance Reporting software and implementing it across the wider business.
  • Coaching and developing the management accountant roles and the wider finance team.
  • Ad Hoc duties to support the Head of Commercial Finance.

 

Other Considerations

  • Professional Finance Qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA
  • Previous experience in working a finance team where stock is a major focus
  • Work in close collaboration with Sales team and our corporate marketing team.
