With 28 of the 30 Zap colorways woven from warp and weft yarns of two colors, the fabric is imbued with a ‘shot’ effect when draped; creating a dynamic, changing appearance which allows the different colors to shine through depending on the perspective from which it is viewed. The other two colors offer the classic simplicity of a woven dobby with the same yarn colour in the warp and weft.
The inherent style suffused through Jens Risom’s original textile design is matched by the high performance standards derived from our manufacturing innovation. The high wool density of the fabric is complemented with 17% nylon to provide enhanced strength and durability, while the dual fiber composition also enables the vivid brightness of color to be achieved. Suitable for contract environments, Zap meets Low Hazard and ASTM D4966 Martindale Method. Heavy Duty Upholstery independently certified to ≥80,000 cycles.
Designed with sustainability and wellbeing in mind, the wool rich textile also achieves SCS Indoor Advantage Gold, certifying that it meets rigorous indoor air quality requirements, and ensuring that specifying Zap within a scheme can contribute to major environmental building standards, such as: LEED v4, Well Building Standard, BREEAM UK and BREEAM International and more.
