Second Nature Fabrics

Second Nature is our trademarked label which is our promise to you of environmental well-being in contract fabrics.  We provide different approaches to environmental product stewardship - using renewable and compostable fiber types, high content wool fabrics which are climate neutral through CO2 offsets, or - coming soon - 100% recycled raw materials.

And we've not just jumped on the more recent environmental bandwagon. We've been making environmental fabrics for years. First came Ecollection in the 1990s, a wool story using environmental non-metallic dyestuffs, quickly followed by an innovative recycled wool upholstery fabric made from old army uniforms from the British Ministry of Defence.  Our biggest selling European fabric is now a recycled polyester and we're using ground-breaking new natural fibers from annually harvested bast fiber plants such as nettles and hemp.
