Combining performance with design, Honeycomb features a bold geometric design drawn from the art of worker bees in their cathedrals, reinforced with an environmental twist.
Designers Hayley Barrett and Jodie Padgett found inspiration for this design in the natural beauty of architectural structures – in particular, the intricate honeycombed patterns created in bee hives. These hexagonal shapes have long been prized both for structural strength and pleasing aesthetics; natural engineering at its finest.
Honeycomb is a colour-woven polyester fabric made from 100% post-industrial recycled polyester. The fabric is available in 16 colour mixes which are made using non-metallic dyestuffs. The stronger shades of the pattern outline are softened with a stria of coloured threads, creating further intrigue and patterns within the bolder shapes. The multi-coloured appearance has the benefit of adding design interest while also disguising any surface stains that may occur.
