Trend 01: Reflect's colour palette
In our first trend direction for 2018/19, Reflect, we look to the modern wanderer who gathers moments not things and above all values the beauty in simplicity. This nomadic way of life inspires a more thoughtful design approach, where the story behind our belongings holds real value.
With an open mind and heightened consciousness, this trend’s mood captures our need for a clearer way forward where a stripped-back aesthetic is key.
Infused with wisdom and calm, Reflect focuses on quality and longevity, featuring muted colours and textures for an understated look.
Section 01: Reflect’s Colour Palette
Reflect is grounded by a thoughtful and comforting aesthetic, creating a simple elegance with subtle nuances in its fabrics that complement raw textures such as cork and stone.
At the heart of the materials palette are the warm neutrals (1 & 5), providing a comforting base for the nature-inspired hues. The heat and energy of orange is subtly introduced in two-tone fabrics (4 & 9), offering a hazier quality. The rusty brown (3) brings a richer alternative to contrast the softer colours and offer a sumptuous feel.
Shades of green (8 & 10) bring the outdoors in; calm and muted these assured tones offer an appreciation of health and wellbeing. Reminiscent of wild flora, a subdued purple (2) is an elegant addition to the collection and complements the warm neutrals. Also taking their cue from nature is a textured blue (6) and dusky yellow (7); these understated bold tones add a sense of balance.
