The Riverbank Building, Stafford College
Outstanding facilities at new look campus
Stafford College have completed an ambitious £14 million development programme of investment to create a new-look campus. The design work was undertaken by CPMG Architects who created a building to house the college's Learning Resource Centre, beauty, hospitality and IT departments, alongside a café, bistro and restaurant for public use and students training.
The 5,200m² three storey building sweeps around the site in a dramatic curve, and is connected to an existing Grade II listed building via an impressive atrium. The interior design has been given a ‘boutique hotel' style using neutral coloured materials and metallic wallpaper for a contemporary feel. Bright accent colours have been carried throughout the college to provide a cohesive look with yellows, purples and hot pinks featuring in furniture, shelving and floorcoverings.
Camira ranges Blazer and Main Line Plus have been used to upholster furniture. The beauty salons feature darker colours and dimmer lighting to create an ambient luxury spa feel.
