Director of Operations
Trevor is the newest member of Camira’s Operations leadership team, joining Camira at the start of 2016.
Having spent nearly 20 years in manufacturing, Trevor has built a wealth of experience working with some of the largest and most successful manufacturing companies within their sectors. His career path started as part of a pioneering manufacturing apprenticeship scheme with Coca Cola from 1998 to 2000. Following this he decided to broaden his process knowledge by moving in to brewing, taking up a production-based role with Carlsberg. Over the next 12 years, Trevor worked at various levels within food manufacturing organisations such as Nestle, Molson Coors and Morrisons, gaining a deep understanding of leadership, continuous improvement, health and safety, operations management and managing change.
After nearly 20 years in food and retail and having responsibility for his own manufacturing site as General Manager, he decided to take all his learnings and apply them in a new industry. This is where the story at Camira began. Trevor’s focus is to develop a deep understanding of our business and industry, whilst taking responsibility for some of our manufacturing operations to ensure we continue to improve performance in service, quality and cost.
Alongside building a successful career, he believes in life-long learning and has just graduated from The Open University with a BSc (Hons) in Design & Innovation, studying engineering, accounting, designing and sustainability. He already has a diploma in Brewing & Manufacturing and Manufacturing & Distribution.
Outside of work Trevor has a busy life with his wife, Lindsay, and two young boys, Joseph and Michael. Whether it’s DIY, enjoying films and music, playing guitar or just playing in the garden with the boys, life is never dull. To keep fit, he loves to cycle and can be found regularly huffing and puffing up Holme Moss or stopping off for a well-earned café stop.
