Director of HR
"With a passion for people, design and interiors, Catherine - our Director of HR - is in her perfect role leading the people agenda across the Camira Group. Graduating with a BSc in Geography, Catherine has moved around the UK in HR based roles and is now in the best position to point us in the right direction when it comes to developing our HR strategies at Camira. She began her career with major UK supermarket retailer Sainsbury’s in store-based HR roles across the South East of the country, before a promotion to HR and Training Manager took her to food wholesaler Makro in Leeds. Next she joined expanding food retailer Greggs Plc, where she spent most of her pre-Camira career, so she clearly knows the key ingredients, not just for sausage rolls, but for successful people strategies. Catherine began at Greggs as HR and Training Manager for the Yorkshire division, before being promoted to Divisional HR Director, and then progressing to a national group role as Head of People for Supply Chain and Logistics based in the North East.
Returning to her native Yorkshire, at Camira Catherine is now responsible for the development and deployment of the HR strategy for the Camira Group globally, whilst also leading the HR, Learning and Development and Payroll teams in both the UK and Lithuania, providing important operational support of the business. Outside work, her priorities are spending time with her partner Dorian and her two children Daniel and Olivia, all of whom are passionate about sport. When not spending time watching them participate, her love of both interior and garden design usually results in her working on a variety of projects at their new home. Happily it is usually a joint effort with Dorian - Catherine provides the brains and Dorian provides the brawn!
